SN Series

The SN series deals with a vast discipline of explosives detection systems. Theses systems divide into two main categories:
1. Vapor traces collection.
2. Vapor detection.

Vapor Traces Collection:

STI has developed efficient vapor collecting modules designed to collect low vapor traces of explosives, chemicals and other substances as needed.

The vapor collection models are designed for various applications:
• Hand held mobile units.
• Desk top collection modules.
• Walk thru portals for people screening.
• Vapor collection from maritime containers.
• Tailor made integration of collection modules with specific customer needs.

The collection systems are designed to work with various detection interfaces, allowing the user to analyze the collected sample using his preferred detection technology.

Vapor Detection:

STI has developed a proprietary explosives detector using a revolutionary gas chromatograph technology. The collected vapors are presented to an extremely sensitive detector using a selective pre concentration gas chromatograph and electron capture technology. The unique system design, allows immediate analysis results with the capability to run multiple sequenced samples with practically no waiting time. The quick analysis results allow massive throughput needed in most security applications. The system is designed for fast recovery even after detection of explosives, allowing the user to continue using the system even after contamination - important, mostly for live system tests during daily use. The detector is designed to detect both standard commercial / military explosives and improvised explosives without any false alarms on common substances.
